1. Project CITIZEU partner who has developed this section

ALBA IULIA

The Alba Iulia Council has prepared lesson 4.

Alba Iulia is a town of 63.000 inhabitants, in Transylvania (Romania). Alba Iulia City Hall is a local public authority. Among its activities, objectives, we mention: to ensure the provision of public services for the inhabitants, respecting the equality, combating discrimination;  the city activities and cultural events; to promote social and economic development through innovative integrated approaches, to involve young people and stakeholders in activities; to encourage the involvement of citizens and of NGOs in the matters of local government; to shape and implement consistent, inclusive and coherent education and employment policies for all categories at risk.

Concerning Erasmus+, the Municipality is implementing a KA2 Strategic Partnership as a partner (the project coordinator is Danish United Nations Association) on the subject of Global Responsibility Education. The main themes are the human rights; the future of Europe; the benefits offered by the EU.

5. Socio del proyecto CITIZEU que ha desarrollado esta lección

ALBA IULIA

La Lección 4 ha sido preparada por el Ayuntamiento de Alba Iulia.

Alba Iulia es una ciudad de 63.000 habitantes de Transilvania (Rumania). El Ayuntamiento de Alba Iulia es una autoridad pública local. Entre sus actividades y objetivos, destacan el asegurar la prestación de servicios públicos a los habitantes, respetando la igualdad, combatiendo la discriminación; las actividades de la ciudad y eventos culturales; el promover el desarrollo social y económico a través de enfoques integrados innovadores, para involucrar a los jóvenes y las partes interesadas en las actividades; el alentar la participación de los ciudadanos y de las ONG en los asuntos de los gobiernos locales, y el dar forma e implementar políticas de educación y empleo consistentes, inclusivas y coherentes para todas las categorías en riesgo.

En lo que respecta a Erasmus+, el Municipio está implementando una Asociación Estratégica KA2 como socio (el coordinador del proyecto es la Asociación Danesa de las Naciones Unidas) en el tema de Educación en responsabilidad global. Los temas principales son los derechos humanos, el futuro de Europa y los beneficios que ofrece la UE.
